How We Test
What the lab measures and how to read a certificate.
The three results on every certificate
Purity · HPLC-UV
High-performance liquid chromatography separates the sample and a UV detector reads what comes off. Purity is the target peptide's share of everything the detector saw.
Identity · LC-MS
Liquid chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry confirms the molecule in the vial has the mass expected for the named peptide.
Net content
The amount of peptide the lab measured in the tested vial, in milligrams. Blends list each peptide separately.
Reading a certificate, line by line
| Client | Who submitted the sample (Midwest Compounds). |
|---|---|
| Accession # · Search code | The lab's own reference for the test. The search code is the certificate's file name on the lab's server. |
| Received · Reported | When the lab received the sample and when it issued the result. |
| Lot | The batch number. It matches the batch shown on our COA pages. |
| Product | The product as printed on the certificate (for example "BPC10 10mg"). |
| Purity | The HPLC-UV result, as a percentage. |
| Identity | The LC-MS result — "Confirmed" when the mass matches. |
| Net content | Measured peptide in the vial, in mg. |
| Appearance | What the sample looked like (for example white lyophilized powder). |
| Chromatogram · Mass confirmation | The raw HPLC trace and mass spectrum behind the numbers. |
Each certificate states it is specific to the sample tested.
Checking a certificate yourself
Every "View PDF" link on our site opens the certificate directly from the lab's own server, not a copy hosted by us. Match the lot number on the certificate to the batch number on our COA page for that product.
